Can computer blue-ray dvd players work on an existing home entertainment center?
I’m wondering, if you bought a new computer with a built in blue-ray DVD player, would you be able to connect it to your existing entertainment center to watch DVDs on an HDTV? Thanks!!!
That is going to depend a lot on the TV, Computer, and what video output you have. It could be as simple as getting DVI output card for your PC. But if you are unfamiliar with this kind of distribution you may be better off getting a standalone player. Make sure it is dual format, but i would wait until the format “war” is more decided. Blu ray runs the risk of becoming the next laser disk (lost out even though it was better than VHS too expensive). i would however buy Blu-ray Disks if I had a PS3. But I would not buy it unless I was going to already for the games.
